Tell Me On My Way

Walking sideways with your suitcase
Away from your secrets
There they go they tell me on my way
And it don't bother me at all

Bright red melon will drip from chin
What can we say
There they go they tell me on my way
And it just follows me around

There's a fire in my head
All the world released
All the lights bring the day
When we clearly see
Now here is a place where the people could just feel so good

Spanish mountain, feet in the fountain
Grown but we still play
There they go they tell me on my way
And it don't bother me at all

Sold my keepsake at the ancient market place
That's the cost of my sea legs
There they go they tell me on my way
And it just follows me around

There's a fire in my head
All the world released
All the lights bring the day
When we clearly see
Now here is a place where the people could just feel so good

All We Have

All along the hill side
In the breeze is all we are
Mountain, you are the Father
And we are here, and we are here
All we have is here

Go down to emerald groves
To disbelief, to bright laughter
All things are on their way
They come in lights in the morning

All eyes are up in a clear sky
It has the birds in blue flight
Your fortune is all around me
And I own nothing, and I own nothing
Own nothing

Go down to emerald groves
To disbelief, to bright laughter
All things are on their way
They come in lights in the morning

All along the hill side
In the breeze is all we are
Mountain you are the Father
And we are here, and we are here
All we have is here

Runner

In the halls where we knew each other
These golden dreams that we hid from others
Off we went then with false companions
These foreign shores they promised more

You can walk now you can walk walk walk
But these old emotions will come for you
You can run now you can run run run
But these old emotions will come for you

Forest ferns they would line the edges
Of narrow roads that would wind and grow
Through the stalls and the lonely stations
The echoed laughter it's what we're after

You can walk now you can walk walk walk
But these old emotions will come for you
You can run now you can run run run
But these old emotions will come for you

Dropped the glass in a house divided
The farther you go now the deeper you go now
And made a line for the dusty reaches
The desert is healing and oh those lights still attract

All Across the Morning

I have seen a film in black and white of World War One
All the soldiers ran and then they fell down with their guns
That's how they, that's how they died
And yet my lungs they push on through this time

I have seen a broken man sleeping in the snow
A hundred people passed pretending not to know
But that's a lie, that's a lie
Out the corner of their eye they watched him die

Oh now Lisa don't you leave
Oh now Lisa don't you leave
Cause it's so grey with all these things
It's just so realistic I cannot believe

And I have tripped on wires that were hidden in the trees
Wrapped around the edges of people's property
I guess they don't know, no they don't know
That there's nothing in this world that you can own

All across the morning along the yellow hills
Families emptied boxes and let themselves be filled
With all the land, with all the land
You might say no but I would say oh yes we can

Oh now Lisa don't you leave
Oh now Lisa don't you leave
Cause it's so grey with all these things
It's just so realistic I cannot believe

Water Drums

Palm tree don't you look sweet today
Water will flow beneath our toes I know
Smooth stones baking in the afternoon

So why don't you
Let this come through
It's there you can have it
It's all that I see
It's everything now
So my water drum speaks

Water drums
Water drums
Water drums
Water drums

Fog bank dropping to the valley floor
I want to climb up till I'm above you know I can
Echoes are bouncing off the mountain tops

So why don't you
Let this come through
It's there you can have it
It's all that I see
It's everything now
So my water drum speaks

Water drums
Water drums
Water drums
Water drums

Flashes on the Perimeter

There's a gold mine in the sunshine
And you'll do anything

There's a small room and it knows you
But you ignore this place

And does it feel right when the spotlight
Shines your door

Lifting up to see
We can't look away
The light is on our years
We stare down the hole
And illusion falls apart

There's a feeling that the storm brings
How it moves along

And as we all run through the columns
We can lose our way

Lifting up to see
We can't look away
The light is on our years
We stare down the hole
And illusion falls apart

Light and Lens

Zooming with gasoline
I don't know what it means
Stealing sand from the hours
We watch with such short eyes
Sometimes it's just easier

To go go go
To go go go

Homemade masquerade
A quick laugh in the shade
Climb the top of the tower
So close to a dusty sky
Sometimes it's just easier

To go go go
To go go go

What do you want to do

They Painted Circles

When fighting your battles be sure that this war can be won
We all look like dots in the eyes of oblivion

You see we come and we go and we're gone
And the weight of the world will move on
And the nights will roll over to dawn
And the men wave goodbye to their sons
And so you let go

When clapping your clappers be sure of the spin they have spun
We walk around the quarry and we throw rocks down into the pond

You see we come and we go and we're gone
And the weight of the world will move on
And the nights will roll over to dawn
And the men wave goodbye to their sons
And so you let go

We're walking the walk, walking the walk of the land
And we're watching the sky, watching and wondering why

Why we come and we go and we're gone
And the weight of the world will move on
And the nights will roll over to dawn
And the men wave goodbye to their sons

I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know

Why the babies don't know what went wrong
Why the grasses still grow green and long
Why the lightening still flashes beyond, oh beyond
And so you let go

But I Want to Know

Drifting to stay awake from the sleep we've learned to take
A step from the road, a step from your place
Most of us will stay
It's always tomorrow and never today

Oh but I
I want to know
But I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I
And we're gonna go, and we're gonna see, and we're gonna be

Hopping the stones as far as they'll go

The vines they climb the gate
Rows of people content to wait
Sitting in chairs just watching the rain
All the sounds escape
Out from their holes and into the wave

Oh but I
I want to know
But I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I, but I
And we're gonna go, and we're gonna see, and we're gonna be

Pulled From the Middle

Dogs are barking, they won't belong
I'm packing my bed and I'm gone
In my thoughts there's a silent place, a dey dey dey
Where there's a fence I know

Dogs are barking and I'm out here walking
Sometimes I feel like I'm pulled from the middle

I'm on a walk through all this space
Where should I be
And yes I've got all that I've been told
I just don't like where it's going

Dogs are barking and I'm out here walking
Sometimes I feel like I'm pulled from the middle

Morning's dot is now a blazing sun
Letting us know we all start out young
I watch the clouds now that time replaced
To think someday that'll be me

Dogs are barking and I'm out here walking
Sometimes I do feel like I'm pulled from the middle
